| Founded in 2003, Urban Capital Partners, LLC (UCP) acquires and develops real estate in vibrant urban areas.
In a recent transaction, UCP joined forces with Meritage Real Estate Group to create UrbanMeritage. After raising $200 million in funds with Taurus Investment Holdings and Anglo Irish Bank, UrbanMeritage has acquired 23 mixed-use properties on Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay.
In 2004, UCP purchased the former Governor Stoughton School (circa 1856) in Dorchester's Historic Lower Mills in partnership with LandWorks Company of Milton, MA. Construction of The Schoolhouse at Lower Mills was completed in 2008.
